KGF 2 Movie Review: It is known how much excitement KGF: Chapter 1 created. It is not known.. This film became a huge success in different languages. Since then, the audience has been eagerly waiting for KGF: Chapter 2. The film has finally hit the theaters, ending the wait. And what other adventures did Rocky Boy have in the KGF empire? What was the ending to his story.. How much did Prashanth Neel-Yash meet the expectations.. Let's find out.
KGF 2 Movie Story:
After Rocky entered the KGF empire as an anonymous and put an end to Garuda.. Now the enemies of Garuda who brought Rocky there claim all the wealth as their own. But it is later understood that Rocky's goal is not just to kill Garuda, but to take over KGF. When Rocky kills Garuda, who tortured and treated them like slaves, he becomes a god to all those working in Karachi. With their support, Rocky expands the KGF empire to an unimaginable level.
But on one side, Garuda's father Adheera (Sanjay Dutt), who is thought to be dead, and on the other side, political leader Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon), who is trying to stop Rocky, who is ready to rule the entire system, many people target Rocky. And did Rocky maintain his empire by facing all of them? Where did his journey go? The rest of the story is about.
KGF 2 Movie Analysis:
We don't know who Yash is. We don't know anything about Prashanth Neel. We don't really care about Kannada movies. Anyway.. When the Kannada film ‘KGF’ made by the two together was translated into Telugu and released, we were blown away. We saw Yash in the role of Rocky as if he was a superstar. Just like Telugu films that are known for hero elevations.. mass masala scenes.. action scenes, ‘KGF’ took hero elevations to the highest level. It redefined the word mass. It gave a high that was not there anywhere with action scenes. Not only Telugu people.. but audiences of different languages across the country had the same emotion after watching ‘KGF’. But would a film play only with hero elevations.. huge action scenes? Is that why ‘KGF’ played? The answer is no.
An emotional connection was formed with the character of Rocky, which is why his elevations gave us goosebumps. There is also an emotion in the way the hero grows. His relationship with his mother.. her influence on him.. there is an emotion in the thread related to this. The goal that Rocky forms.. and the adventurous journey he takes for that is also an emotional journey. In a story with so many layers.. between interesting-strong characters.. with a background score that seems like never before, if Rocky's character is given elevations, everyone gets connected to it.
It has provided unprecedented support. However, in elevation.. the visual experience.. in grandeur, 'Chapter 2' is a few steps higher than 'KGF Chapter 1' but.. the emotion.. story power.. strong conflict in the first chapter is missing in it. There is no other word to say that the film does not live up to the huge expectations that the audience had after watching 'KGF-2'. At the same time, it cannot be said that 'KGF-2' is not necessary to watch.
At the end of ‘KGF-1’, Anant Nag’s character says that the real story begins now. That means, in terms of the story, ‘KGF-2’ will be on another level. But the story is the biggest minus of this film. The twists and turns in the first part.. a sequence of evolution.. establishment of characters.. conflict.. none of these are at the desired level in ‘KGF-2’. Everything in the first part is a surprise for the audience. We have never seen a movie like this before. Watching what is happening on the screen, we get the feeling of entering a new world. That is why ‘KGF’ also has a repeat value. After watching ‘KGF’ again and again and stepping into ‘KGF-2’, we will see what new things Prashanth-Yash will offer us. How will he take this story forward.. What other challenges will Rocky face.. How will he overcome them?
On one hand, Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Adheera, who wants to bring KGF back under his control. On the other hand, Raveena Tandon plays the role of an Indira Gandhi-style political leader who wants to stop Rocky. Both of these characters arouse tremendous interest at one stage. But both of those characters are limited to buildup. Only in terms of looks, Sanjay Dutt seems to be a warlock. Prashanth was unable to design the character to be as intimidating as Garuda. There is not a single scene that shows how cruel he is. The character is limited to just three action scenes.
In one scene, he comes and shoots the hero. In another scene, he gets hit by the hero. At the end, he returns and ends up in the hero's hands. Nothing more than that. As for Raveena Tandon's character, it is just a rush. Except for overaction-reaction, it has no impact. At one point, the question arises as to why the main character is in the film. When it comes to Rocky's role, there is no doubt that he is disappointed. He is not as active a character as he was in Chapter 1.
In terms of story, there is nothing new or special to say about ‘KGF-2’. Starting as an anonymous person, ‘KGF’ progresses with many twists and turns until he enters the KGF empire, where no outsider can step foot, and kills the Garuda who rules it. The curiosity about what will happen next in the film continues from the beginning to the end. But once we get to Chapter 2, there are no surprises or exciting elements. There is a ‘high’ in the beginning with the scene that begins with Rocky taking the KGF empire into his own hands. But the sequence of expanding this empire, and then the obstacles he faces, and the way he overcomes them, is not shown as interestingly as expected.
However, visually, in terms of elevations, some episodes in ‘KGF-2’ seem to be on a different level. It could be Rocky's re-introduction scene. It could be the episode where he attacks Adheera. It could be the scene where Rocky commits sabotage while trying to get back the gold biscuits taken away from his empire by government officials. It would give the audience a Never Before feeling. It seems that only Prashanth Neel can make such scenes. I want to salute his imagination. The action-elevation scenes that are like 'Mad Max' are something that you have to keep your mouth shut about. For these, you can watch 'KGF-2' once.
Actors Performance:
Yash, who has already made a strong impact in the role of Rocky, has continued the intensity of that role in Chapter 2 as well. His look.. screen presence are very good. He has met the expectations of the audience so far. There is nothing special to say about the heroine Srinidhi. Like in Chapter 1, she is a nominal role here too. Sanjay Dutt's look as Adheera seems to be a bit too much. Raveena Tandon.. Ramika Sen's role is overdone. In many places, her acting seems overdone. Rao Ramesh did well in the role of a CBI officer. That role also seems over the top in some places. Prakash Raj did well in the role of the narrator who continues Rocky's story. Ayyappa P. Sharma, who continued from Chapter 1.. All the other actors are okay.
Technical category:
Technically, 'KGF-2' seems to be top-notch. Ravi Basrur has made a splash with his background music. Although RR seems too loud in some places.. the overall impact is okay. There is nothing special in the songs. There are no songs that feel special like Chapter 1. Bhuvan Gowda's cinematography.. went according to Prashanth's style. The visuals seem very special. No matter how much praise is given for the production values, it is not enough. When it comes to writer-cum-director Prashanth Neel.. even though he has once again shown his work as a director.. even though he has impressed with the visual magic.. he has failed in writing. The story.. seems to have not done proper work on the characters. It seems to have focused entirely on the elevations and not cared about the story.
Finally: Chapter 2.. Only Elevations No Emotion
