Lucky Bhaskar Movie Review: Several films made a splash at the box office on the occasion of Diwali. One of them is Dulquer Salmaan's Lucky Bhaskar. Directed by Venky Atluri. This is Dulquer's second full-length Telugu film after Mahanati. How is this film?
Lucky Bhaskar Movie Story:
The story unfolds in the backdrop of Mumbai. Bhaskar Kumar (Dulquer Salmaan) from a middle-class family is an ordinary bank employee. With a meager salary and the entire burden of the family on him, he takes loans from everywhere he can, including the bank. He keeps pushing his family while waiting for a promotion.
However, he is called the best employee, but the promotion does not come. No matter how much risk he takes, Bhaskar takes a huge risk, even though he thinks it is not wrong. What is that risk? Did he face difficulties with this? Or did he avoid difficulties? That is the story.
Lucky Baskhar Movie Analysis:
The banking system, the stock market, and the Indian middle-class mentality.. This film is a journey of a person's life. The Harshad Mehta scam that shook the Indian economy in the 90s is also a key part of this story. Everything the hero does in the film is thrilling to the audience. Taking a risk and helping a man named Antony (Rankey), then striking another deal with him, facing difficulties in the process, and the way he overcomes them intelligently is good every time. It gave a good thrill to the audience. The scenes before the interval were even more impressive.
The second half feels stretched in many places. The director has shown some subtle points. It must be said that they are not so easy for the average audience to understand. Even so, it is good. The change brought by money in Bhaskar and the family drama that unfolds in the background impresses the audience. The climax scenes are thrilling. If you want a simple ending, it is pleasing to have an unexpected twist. Bhaskar's intelligence and his cunning are the highlight of the film.
Actors Performance:
Dulquer Salmaan carried the story on his shoulders. He became a middle-class family man. Meenakshi Chaudhary also looked beautiful and made a good impression on the emotional scenes. Ranki, Sachin Khedekar, Tinu Anand, Saikumar, and others acted to the best of their ability.
Technically it is superior. GV Prakash Kumar's background music is the main strength. He took the scenes to another level with his music. The songs are contextual and integrated into the story. The camera, production design, and editing departments also performed well. Venky Atluri's writing is good.
Starting with the conversation about 'I don't like half an hour of my day, should I sit and cry all my life', to the conversations about victory after defeat and victory after defeating in the climax, everything makes you think. The structure is top-notch.
Finally: Bhaskar, the game is amazing.
