Mechanic Rocky Movie Review: Vishwak Sen has released ‘Gami’ and ‘Gangs of Godavari’ this year. Of these, ‘Gami’ did well. But ‘Gangs of Godavari’ did not do well. Now he is going to greet the audience with ‘Mechanic Rocky’. Directed by newcomer Ravi Teja Mullapudi, this film is produced by ‘S.R. Entertainments’, which has not had a single hit. The teaser and trailer did not create much interest. And did the film impress the audience? Let’s find out the answer to the question through this review:
Mechanic Rocky Movie Story:
Nagumomu Rakesh's alias Mechanic Rocky (Vishwak Sen) is thought to be illiterate by his father (Naresh). Later, he becomes a good mechanic. He also conducts driving classes in his garage. At such a time, Maya (Shraddha Srinath) comes to Rocky's driving school to learn to drive. She is an insurance agent. While teaching her how to drive, Rocky tells her about his love story and career.
Akki Reddy (Sunil), who is very influential, sets his sights on Rocky's mechanic shed. He pressures Rocky's father to sell the place. But he does not agree with it. He beats up the rowdies who came to force him to sign and goes to Akki Reddy's house to give a warning. Later, when he learns that Rocky's father has died, he seizes the shed using his influence. In this process, Rocky makes a deal with Akki Reddy for his shed.
Thinking that he wants his shed as a souvenir of his father, he says that he will give him Rs. 50 lakhs. But he cannot adjust the money. In this process, Maya tells him that Rocky's father has an insurance policy of Rs. 2 crores. But Rocky's name is not there as a nominee. And then did he get the insurance money? What did the hero do for it? What help did his girlfriend Priya (Meenakshi Chowdhury) give him? What is Rocky's past? That is the rest of the story.
Mechanic Rocky Movie Analysis:
'Mechanic Rocky' starts very plainly. Even the comedy that comes here and there in the first half seems so-so. The entire episode where the hero gives a warning to the villain Sunil seems routine. At one stage, we wonder how Vishwak Sen chose such a story.
The interval block is also just okay. It doesn't excite me much. But the second half also feels like a starting portion of the week. But the twists that come after that are gripping. The story also picks up speed. Everyone sits with attention. If there are four twists, 3 of them are unexpected. Even though the climax seems to be stretched again.. there is a chance to convince that it is okay.
Vishwak Sen acted brilliantly as always. But Shraddha Srinath scores more marks than him. Meenakshi Chowdhury also got a good role. Sunil's look and acting seem new. The comedy of Viva Harsha, Hyper Aadi.. did not explode much. Senior Naresh once again impressed with his mark acting. Harsha Vardhan is also okay.
Plus points:
Second half
Twists
New point
Minus points:
First half
Forced comedy here and there
Overall 'Mechanic Rocky'.. If you sit a little patiently for the first half.. you can enjoy the second half.
Mechanic Rocky Rating – 2.25/5
